If you are looking for a hip laid back place to relax, Sayulita
is the place for you, located just 10 minutes south of San Pancho.
This small town is famous among surfers who visit from all over
the world, making it a relaxed town with a youthful vibe. Sayulita is full ofsmall
hotels and private vacation rentals to accomadate any budget. Camping
sites are also readily available and usually with vacancies. This town offers more than just a surfing paradise, with
whale watching, hiking, fishing, horseback riding and deep water
diving tours, this is the perfect escape for a family vacation.
Particularly unique is the Surf Safari for Women and the flourishing tropical Yoga scene which makes for a progressive family friendly distinctly feminine atmosphere.
There are many homesite, several with
beautiful water views in front of the beach, as well as on the hilltops
and surrounding mountain areas.
A few miles south of Sayulita is the beach of Pazquarito. With
a very uninhabbited feel to it, this long stretch of beach has mostly
private homes on large plots of land, the low density living make it an opportune area to
hike and explore.
One hour north of Puerto Vallarta, the small village
of "San Pancho" is a beautiful and calm beach scene. This
tiny and untamed town is known as one of the best places
for birdwatching and natural hiking tours. Its economy is mostly
based on mango processing and fishing, and is internationally known for
having some of the best restaurants in the area. Fine mexican
cuisine can be found as well as eclectic international dining in little
restaurants with enchanting atmospheres. Café del Mar features an outrageously talented chef from Singapore with dishes to tantalize any pallete and the new addition of Mar Plata, opened by the same owners, features mouth watering Argentian steaks and a rich chocolate fondue served with an array of fresh tropical fruits.
This town is a second home for many Canadians and Americans who have
bulit luxurious homes in the center of town and the surrounding mountains, making it one of the most
attractive real estate options; if only there were anything left to purchase. Most of the land is still Ejido properties.
North of San Pancho is the Nayarit coastline stretching past Las Clavellinas, Playa Monterey, Lo de Marcos, Punta Raza, Guayabitos, Playa Naranjo, Las Cuevitas, Chacala, Chacalita, Boca de Chila, Costa Costodio, Los Platanitos, punta Gorda, Las Varas and San Blas.
Las Olas in San Pancho offers a stretch of white sand beach with several lots still available, prices start around $1,000,000 and the location is well worth the price. The lots are slightly out of the center of the hustle and bustle of San Pancho but close enough for you to walk to the center to enjoy the fine art galleries, cafes or fine dining restaurants. Sayulita still has homesites for sale as well, Sayulita Estates offers a low density development of 40 homes with prices starting in the mid $400,000. Condominiums developments have yet to become popular in the Costa Nayarit area but we may see a rise in the development of oceanview condos in the near future.
