The Sales Process Once an offer has been accepted by the Seller, La Punta Realty will ensure the escrow is set with the chosen company, will follow up with the Notary Public in order to provide all of the necessary documentation for the closing, and will closely supervise the sale, regardless if the sale is done in-house or by any other agency. All real estate sales in Mexico are sanctioned by a Notary Public who ensures all of the legal procedures have been followed, the corresponding taxes are paid, permits obtained, registration of deeds, amongst others. In the event that the seller is not able to be present at the date of closing, Mexican laws provide for the property to be transmitted via a specific power of attorney outlining that the proxy is to transmit the property to the person designated by you in the terms and conditions as set in the same.
